Chicken Satay


Water 2 cups

Peanuts shelled and salted 250 gm

Sugar 1.5 tbsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Garlic powder 1/4 tsp

Crushed red pepper 0.5 tsp

Salt to taste

Marinade for chicken:

Lemon grass 2 tbsp

Salt to taste

Turmeric powder 1 tbsp

Sugar 2 tbsp

Cilantro 1/2 tsp

Soya sauce 2 tbsp

Oil 2 tbsp

Boil water. Mix all the ingredients that are not included in the marinade for chicken. Now blend them in a blender. Add this mixture to boiling water. Cook till it turns into a thick sauce. This is the peanut sauce for dipping.

Blend all the chicken marinade ingredients. Cut long thin strips of chicken. Put them for an hour in the marinade.

Thread the chicken into sticks. Pre-heat a pan. Don’t put any oil for best authentic taste. Dry-fry the chicken.
