Leadership isn’t definable

There aren’t any “born leaders”. Not only is that term cliche, it also takes away from the leadership that different individuals show everyday without a recognized title. It also takes away from people in leadership positions who have to step up to huge undertakings without any prior notice. A leader is a person who rises to the occasion when no one else would, who practices integrity and wholesomeness, who recognizes that she may be different from some but can absolutely find more similarities. She also shows that compassion and empathy can be extended beyond race and religion. She knows that there are people depending on her and all she wants to do is create a unified front so people know which side she is on. Leaders are not diplomatic in their approach. They are true to who they are and are not ashamed of it. #jacindaardern
