One thing that parenthood teaches you is how easily the tables can be turned on you. How your kids could inherit your button nose and your extremely difficult eating habits. 
How they will discard a toy after merely five minutes of cursory inspection and decide to play with its box for the rest of the day. This is what parenthood has taught me. And through this it has taught me to be patient, gracious and forgiving.
