When you have an atypical learner, homeschooling takes a whole new meaning. The material is of course different but so is the method. You eventually hope to get them ready enough to be able to work with conventional materials because autism homeschooling for someone as sensory and as differently-learning as Minha isn’t cheap. Also, looking for what you need is a quest everyday. You can’t just pick a few books from the library or download a curriculum. Have grace for families with autism. My kiddo has to move with her iPad like it’s her third arm because it is her third arm.
